Motorola Milestone 2 acts as ‘wireless hotspot’

You can connect five wireless gadgets to the internet using the new Motorola Milestone 2.

A smartphones which offers a wireless internet connection for your laptop and other gadgets will be released later this year.

The Motorola Milestone 2 can function as a 3G mobile hotspot for up to five wi-fi devices including an iPod Touch as well as your laptop. So you can download files, music and other media.

The Motorola Milestone 2 supersedes the original Milestone that was launched in late 2009.

Alain Mutricy, senior vice president of portfolio and device product management at Motorola Mobility, said: “Milestone 2 offers more power, more speed, with an improved keyboard, so users can send, access and share information even quicker than before to manage their work and personal life.”

Milestone 2 also features:

  • Flash support for watching videos embedded within webpages
  • A 5Mp camera with dual flash and HD (720p) video capture
  • An 8GB internal memory and Micro SD memory card slot.

Motorola will release the Milestone 2 during the fourth quarter of 2010 on UK mobile networks.
