Mobile manufacturer unveils ZTE Tania smartphone complete with 4GB internal storage and 4.3in touchscreen.
ZTE Corporation, a leading provider of mobile handsets internationally, has launched its first Windows Phone device in the UK.
The ZTE Tania runs the latest version of the Microsoft operating system, with a wide range of fully integrated features, such as a direct link to users’ Xbox LIVE accounts, seamless syncing for Microsoft Office Mobile and Zune music streaming.
With a speedy 1GHz processor and cinematic 800 x 480 display on a vivid 4.3in touch display, the ZTE Tania is said to make responding to emails, editing documents and browsing the web a fast, intuitive and visually pleasing experience.
Wu Sa, director of mobile device operations at ZTE UK, said: “We’re delighted to be working with Microsoft and as a key partner will support the industry forecasted growth on this exciting new platform with both the ZTE Tania and in the future a growing range of devices.”
Leila Martine, director of Windows Phone UK, added: “Having ZTE join the Windows Phone family is great news. Their expertise will be crucial in delivering Windows Phone to new and different customers. We look forward to continuing and developing our relationship with ZTE in the future.”
The ZTE Tania is one of the most affordable 4.3in Windows Phone handsets currently on the market, and will be sold on a pay-monthly contract at between £10 and £20 per month.
Recent findings by market analyst IDC named ZTE the world’s fourth-largest mobile phone vendor, after it shipped more than 19 million units during the third quarter of 2011, beating iPhone maker Apple and Canadian rival Research In Motion (RIM), the company behind BlackBerry.
