Mobile network announces it will stock ‘your next Galaxy’ as Samsung launch teaser website.
The follow up to Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S II smartphone will be available through Vodafone.
The mobile network has announced on its website that “your next Galaxy” will be “coming to Vodafone” and invites users to register for updates.
The new handset is to be unveiled next Thursday (3 May, 2012) at the Samsung Mobile Unpacked 2012 event, which takes place at Earls Court in London.
Samsung has launched a teaser website, www.tgeltaayehxnx.com, which asks users to solve an anagram of “the next Galaxy”.
The site then reveals a teaser video and invites users to “join Samsung Mobile at Unpacked 2012, where the dawn of the next Galaxy will soon be revealed before the world” and register for updates.
While the exact specification of the follow-up to the Samsung Galaxy S II has yet to be confirmed, the German Amazon website, Amazon.de, has begun taking pre-orders for the new phone, and lists some technical details.
The site identifies the handset as the “Samsung Galaxy S3” and it is priced at €599 (Ł489). It reveals that the next Galaxy will have a 4.7in super AMOLED display; a 12 megapixel camera with autofocus, an LED flash and face detection and will be powered by the latest version of Google’s Android mobile operating system, Ice Cream Sandwich.
