Bundling your mobile phone contract with a home or mobile broadband package can make it easier to get you online for less.
Choosing to get your home broadband from your mobile phone provider can save you a packet - with some providers even offering “free broadband” in the past.
As well as free home broadband add-ons, some providers - like O2 also offer discounts on their home broadband. O2’s Standard up to 8Mb broadband costs £12.23 a month for non-customers, but existing O2 mobile phone users can get the same, award-winning package for just £7.34 a month, or upgrade to its Premium 20Mb package for less than £10 a month.
All of the major mobile phone providers now offer mobile broadband too. There is a huge variety of deals on offer - from pay-as-you-go plans, to one-month contracts and longer 12, 18 or even 24 month deals.
Some mobile broadband packages offer allowances of up to 15GB a month, free overnight downloads, or mobile wifi modems that allow you to connect multiple devices and share your connection.
Many mobile phone providers will offer customers a discount if they bundle their bill with a mobile broadband contract too, and some even let you bundle all three services - or throw your home phone connection into the mix as well.
The biggest attraction of bundling your mobile phone with home or mobile broadband is that you can save money by doing so.
Access to the internet is increasingly becoming one of life’s daily essentials - with many people valuing their broadband connection as much as their mobile phone. So bundling the two makes perfect sense. You'll only have one provider to deal with if you have a problem and could even get free technical support and customer service from your own phone if you bundle, saving you time as well as money too.
