‘On & On’ also gives customers 1GB of data to use however they want from £26 a month.
O2 has launched a new price plan offering unlimited calls to mobiles and landlines in the UK and unlimited texts to UK-based numbers.
“On & On” also gives customers 1GB of data to use however they want, including for tethering (using your phone to connect another device to the internet) and streaming (watching video and listening to music online without having to download it).
Customers will be sent regular text updates on how much data they’ve used, but there are no extra data charges for those who exceed the 1GB limit.
The tariff costs £26 a month for those keeping their current handset and from £36 a month for those wanting a new handset. Those who need more data can double it to 2GB for an extra £5 a month.
Sally Cowdry, marketing and consumer director for O2 in the UK, said: “On & On gives our customers the most value we’ve ever offered in a pay monthly tariff.
“Whether they’re choosing to stay with us or joining O2 for the first time, they’ll be able to talk and text as much as they like, while enjoying the internet on their mobile absolutely worry free.”
To help spread the cost of a new handset, On & On customers can choose between paying £36, £41 or £46 per month, with each price jump reducing the upfront cost of a new handset.
For example, an Apple iPhone 4S 16GB costs £59.99 (usually £99.99) upfront on the £36 tariff, £19.99 (usually £49.99) on the £41 tariff or free on the £46 per month tariff.
