Spec and "official" photo of Samsung Galaxy S III leaked online.
Details of the highly-anticipated Samsung Galaxy S III have emerged on the internet, fuelling rumours worldwide that the smartphone could be officially launched within days. An image believed to be an actual Samsung press photo was posted online by Dutch website GSM Helpdesk.
Although unconfirmed by Samsung, the leak follows intense speculation that a follow-up to the bestselling Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone could soon be getting its release date.
The pictured device - which clearly has Samsung Galaxy S III on its screen in the photo - is thought to have a 4.7in touch display offering a 1,280 x 720 high-definition (HD) resolution.
According to the leaked specifications, the handset will be powered by a quad-core 1.5GHz processor. That’s a significant improvement over the 1.2GHz chipset in the Samsung Galaxy S II - the rumoured extra power would make its successor one of the fastest smartphones around. The leaked information also suggests an internal 1GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.
The Samsung Galaxy SIII could feature a 12-megapixel camera - a notable jump from the 8Mp of the Galaxy S II - with the ability to record 1080p HD video.
An official UK release date has not yet been announced, but online rumours claim the Samsung Galaxy S III will be officially unveiled within days. Experts suggest that it could be hitting the shops as soon as May 2012.
