The Xperia Play, aka the PlayStation Phone and PSP Phone, will be one of the hottest mobile gaming devices of 2011.
Xperia Play is the first smartphone based on the Sony PlayStation videogame console, which means realistic gaming in the palm of your hand and all the usual high-end smartphone features, including downloadable apps and mobile internet.
The device has a decently sized gaming screen - somewhere between 3.7in and 4in - and slide-out gaming keypad featuring the same controls as on the PlayStation console’s controller slides from underneath.
Manufacturer Sony Ericsson is expected to officially launch the Xperia Play in February.

The iPhone 4’s touch-sensitive screen and internal motion controllers mean you can control videogames by swiping your fingers over the smartphone’s surface or by tilting the phone from side-to-side. The smartphone’s crystal clear screen also makes games look bright and crisp.
You’ll never be short of games to play either, because the iPhone 4 can wirelessly connect into an online app store - the iPhone App Store - from where you can download literally thousands of games.

The LG Optimus 2X is the world’s first phone to feature a “dual-core processor” - simply meaning it makes the smartphone a perfect choice for playing fast-paced videogames.
For example, 3D games can be played on the phone without it grinding to a halt. And your everyday videogames will also look fantastic.
