The Pearl 3G is “coming soon” to a Vodafone store near you.

Vodafone mobile has confirmed plans to sell the smallest ever BlackBerry smartphone, known as the Pearl 3G.

The phone was launched late last month and Vodafone has since added the device to the “Coming Soon” page of its website.

Vodafone hasn’t announced a formal release date for the Pearl 3G, but said the phone will be “coming soon to pay monthly” plans. It’s unknown at this stage if the network operator will release the Pearl 3G to pay-as-you-go customers.

The Pearl 3G, also known as the BlackBerry 9105, has an alphanumeric rather than Qwerty keypad arrangement. The smartphone also features:

  • 3G wireless network connectivity
  • A 3.2Mp camera with zoom and auto-focus capabilities
  • Integrated GPS navigation and support for both Wi-Fi and 3G wireless networks
  • A Micro SD memory card slot.
