Media invited to "come and meet the next Galaxy" at London event.
Samsung is expected to unveil its highly-anticipated Galaxy S III smartphone next month, after confirming rumours that a brand new handset is in the immediate pipeline.
It is not yet known for certain whether it's a Samsung Galaxy S III we're getting, but the Korean manufacturer has invited the world's media to a special launch event in London on 3 May.
"Come and meet the next Galaxy," the invite reads, fuelling further speculation that the follow-up to Samsung's bestselling Galaxy S II Android device is almost definitely on the cards.
In recent weeks, a number of high-profile, unconfirmed "leaks" have hit the headlines, with images purportedly showing the Samsung Galaxy S III as a finished product ready for sale. Last month, the Dutch website GSM Helpdesk published a photo it claimed was the genuine article.
Alongside the image came a set of "leaked" specifications, suggesting the new Samsung Galaxy S III would feature a 4.7in touch display offering a 1,280 x 720 high-definition (HD) resolution.
It also claimed the handset would boast a quad-core 1.5GHz processor, a significant upgrade from the 1.2GHz chipset in the Samsung Galaxy S II, as well as 1GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage.
An official UK release date has not yet been announced, but if Samsung Galaxy S III is unveiled at the London event on 3 May, it could be in the shops by the end of next month.
