The best mobile phones for under £100

You needn’t spend a fortune to get a new mobile phone or smartphone, great phones with cameras, apps and music can cost less than £100.

Spending under £100 on your next mobile phone or smartphone doesn’t mean restricting yourself to the most basic models.

£100 is now enough to give you the pick of the latest and greatest pay-as-you-go (PAYG) and contract mobile phones.

Pay-as-you-go mobile phones for under £100

Many PAYG mobile phones can be bought for under £100, though the vast majority only offer basic features for telephone calls and text messages.

Orange San Francisco

The Orange San Francisco smartphone features everything from mobile internet to photography for less than £100, well £99.

Contract smartphones costing less than £100

Almost any of the latest mobile phones and smartphones can be bought on contract for under £100.

The majority come free on monthly contracts worth £25 or more. However, if you opt for a cheaper value monthly contracts you could be asked to pay a one-off fee of between £10 and £80 for your new phone.

Contract terms vary between mobile network operators, but most smartphones are available on 18 or 24-month deals.
